I recently applied for a job at Taco John’s in cedar Rapids Iowa. The 1st avenue location. I had one interview That person requested that I come back on Wednesday September 21st to interview with the manager. Which I did. When the manager, came where I was sitting, she said I’m going to make this short. Why do you want to work here if you have a disability? I said I can still cook. And I told her I want to work. I also told her I could work 16hrs a week. She got up and said If I’m interested I’ll call you Tuesday by 5:00 p.m. didn’t even ask me any interview appropriate questions I can’t work 40 hours a week but I can work 16. I feel like she isn’t interested in hiring me because I have a disability. (my disability is chronic low back pain and a shoulder injury) after all she didn’t even ask me an interview appropriate questions. Just made a comment about my disability. Which is an INCREDIBLY inappropriate

On November 26th I used your Taco Johns app to order food for my family. I arrived at the store at 12:45pm, and was told they did not have a “slip” for my order, and needed to “check-in”. I asked if they could show me how to do this, but they refused as the lobby was closed. I asked the manager if she would be able to show me through the locked door how to check in, they refused again.
At this point I had no idea how to proceed as the workers and manager would not provide assistance. They said I would need to call “corporate” and provided myself a phone number. I called but they are only open until 5pm Monday through Friday.
I was completely confused and frustrated by the lack of care nor understanding, that I left without my food that I paid for on the app, for my family. I need some help on how to have my money refunded to me. I also submitted a “feedback” survey but have not heard back from them.
I feel as if I’m hostage to a restaurant that refused to provide the food I ordered and a refusal to refund my money. Please provide assistance with this matter asap. I have been waiting for a week now to hear back.

I worked at taco johns in Bradley,IL on Kennedy dr. I would not recommend to ever work at this one. It’s very unprofessional and work favoritism for there to be a place full of grown women and men. I was falsely accused of theft here and I didn’t do it traumatized me to the point I will never work at another fast food resident. A customer said I stole her money to pay for her items which were a $40 and some change order which was on Monday November 21st, 2022. I was fired Tuesday November 29th. If I was such a big thief why wasn’t I fired the same day if not the next? I wouldn’t allow a thief to continue to work for me not another second once I found out. A customer said this about me to my boss. I have no idea who this customer was is or anything idk if this customer knows me personally and just wanted to ruin my job. I’m not sure if this customer was my boss’s friend because her friends come thru the drive thru a lot. A boy was written up for being “disrespectful” and I have no idea what he said and it was my shift. He wasn’t sure how he disrespected anyone and was still written up not a warning a full write up. I don’t know if I looked suspicious cashing out because I’m the only African American young lady that worked there or what. But I’m in college a sophomore in college at that me stealing and having theft on my background that could ruin my chances of being a lawyer. I would mess up my future for $40. I was not pressed charges upon or anything if I actually stole and there was camera footage why didn’t I get arrested ? I was corned also with one of her favorite managers that worked at a whole other store that I don’t even know so of course hes gonna side by her and what she feels. I was a manager for months before I got manager pay. Then when I spoke up about manager pay they said they paused my training but I was still closing and doing manager work. Now I have a pending case against this store and this was my worst experience that I’ve ever had with an fast food job. I was never fired from a job ever . Went to Taco John’s in Menomonie Wisconsin tonight, January 12, 2023. What a nightmare. Ordered $45.00 worth of food and guess what after 20 minutes, no food. Went ip to the counter and asked where our food was and they all just looked at us. Will never ever go back unless they can get some reliable help which is capable of a simple task. I would not ever recommend anyone go to Menomonie Taco John’s.
Went back to taco John’s for the first time in 2 years hoping they got better..but nope live in cape Girardeau..mo.wednesday night want to try that chicken crunch cause it look good..spent $10.50 for cold crunch and old ole’s..only good was the soda..then waited 14 minutes for it..I understand getting good help is impossible..
Went to Henderson Ky store and I order some potatoes oles and tacos. I was asked to pulled up cause I’m waiting for potatoes oles. Well instead of the employees itself bring me my food they send a child, I mean a child like 6-7 yrs old, to bring me my food like what are you serious? Won’t be going back

I went to Taco Johns in Manhattan Kansas at 7:30 on a Thursday evening. At about 7:45 I observed an employee locking the front door. I told him that fire code says that the doors will remain unlocked during business hours. He told me that wasn’t a fire exit. I pointed to the exit sign above the door and said it was an exit. He then told me that is the way he is going to do it. He then said that he didn’t want to hear anything I had to say and wasn’t going to listen to me. I went to leave at 8:00 and they had put new trash bags in then covered them so we could not throw are trash away. This is a couple weeks later and they were doing the same thing again only they started at 7:30. This store does not have their hours of operation listed on the doors or building so we don’t know when it’s open or closed.
